Tickets are only good for the departure and date shown on the ticket.

Other information

When you buy an eBus Ticket, a receipt in pdf format is created showing the details of your trip. You do not need the receipt for the trip but you may want to have it sent to your e-mail address or print it for accounting purposes.

What is needed for each eBus Ticket is either the passenger's name or a personal identifier of their own choice. When boarding the bus, the driver checks the right of travel according to the name or identifier. If tickets are bought for several passengers at the same time, one name or identifier stated in connection with the purchase is enough for the whole group. The exception to this is OnniBus tickets, which have a booking ID instead of a name or an identifier of your choice. You can get on board by giving this booking ID.

Seat reservation

A seat reservation can be made in connection with the purchase of a single ticket for most express departures and several regular services. Seat reservation is free of charge. No seat reservation can be made when travelling with a pet.

Groups eligible for discounts

Matkahuolto grants discounts on tickets as defined by bus operators. Each passenger is only entitled to one discount at a time (e.g. students are not entitled to a discount for a return ticket in addition to the student discount). To qualify for a discount, passengers must present proof of their entitlement to the discount when buying the ticket and boarding the bus.

Refunds

You can cancel a an eBus Ticket up to 24 hours before departure using the eBus Ticket cancellation form. If your departure is scheduled for the weekend or a red-letter day or weekday after weekend/red-letter-day, you must request cancellation on the previous weekday. If your departure is scheduled for Christmas eve or Midsummer Day's Eve you must request cancellation on the previous weekday. A charge of EUR 9.00 applies.

Limitations

The eBus Ticket is only good for the date and departure for which it is purchased. At the earliest, you can buy an eBus Ticket 1-3 months before the selected date depending on the departure. The eBus Tickets are available for the intended journey, if the Buy button is visible along the departure details.
