Student ticket and student discount

Buy single tickets at student prices easily from the Trips and Tickets app or Matkahuolto website. The price and availability of student tickets varies depending on the operator and route. When selling single tickets, Matkahuolto applies the price lists and discount terms indicated by the operators. As a rule, the price of season and series tickets is the same for all passengers, and there is usually no student discount.

Student card

Students are eligible for a discount upon presentation of a student card with the Matkahuolto logo. Cadets receive a discount upon presentation of their official identity card issued by the Finnish Defence Forces.

Student cards are issued by student organisations, through which students receive either a physical or an app-based student card. For more information about student cards and the criteria for granting them, please contact your student organisation or educational institution.
