Restrictions and special terms conserning tickets purchased for services operated by Onnibus

The following restrictions and special terms apply to OnniBus services.

Travelling

When traveling on OnniBus services with a Matkahuolto Online Ticket, present the reservation code found in the purchase receipt sent to your email instead of your name to the driver.

Children

A child may travel alone if the parent or guardian considers the child capable of independent travel. We recommend using a child pass. OnniBus does not supervise or provide care for children traveling alone. Parents or guardians are fully responsible for the actions of their children.
Each passenger, including children, must have their own ticket.

Seniors

Discounted senior tickets are available for OnniBus services for passengers aged 65 or older. The discount does not require a pension card. Passengers under 65 years old are not eligible for the discount even with a pension card.

Pets

Check the timetable search to see which OnniBus services allow pets. On services where pets are allowed, a pet fee must be paid to the driver for pets of all sizes.
Guide dogs are an exception and are allowed on all services free of charge. It is recommended to make a reservation for guide dogs in advance via OnniBus customer service.

Luggage

Passengers may bring one suitcase weighing up to 20 kg, which will be placed in the bus's luggage compartment. Additionally, one piece of hand luggage that fits on the overhead shelf or under the seat can be brought on board.
In addition to these, passengers may bring one pair of skis or one snowboard free of charge. Foldable strollers can be brought without charge if traveling with a child.
If you have more luggage than your ticket allows, you can purchase additional luggage space from the driver for €10 per piece, subject to availability.

Bicycles

Bicycles are allowed on some OnniBus services. Check the notes for your specific service by clicking the info button in the timetable search.

Seat Reservations

Some tickets purchased for OnniBus services have a seat number indicated. Any seat reservation is noted on the purchase receipt. Alternatively, the receipt will state "No seat reservation".

Passengers with Reduced Mobility

A companion may travel free of charge with a passenger with reduced mobility who requires assistance during the journey. A seat for the companion must be reserved in advance via OnniBus customer service.
Some OnniBus services have wheelchair spaces. Check the availability of wheelchair spaces with OnniBus customer service. Wheelchair spaces must be reserved in advance through OnniBus customer service at least 36 hours before the journey.
